Reinforced concretes are divided into many types, including:
- Concrete poured on her house
- precast concrete
- prestressed concrete
Reinforced concretes poured on her house
The concrete poured on her house is CAST IN SITU. This concrete is prepared by placing the reinforcement iron flat on the concrete floor at the site according to the construction drawings of the building, and then concrete is poured on it after mixing it well. This type of concrete is the most widely used in Arab countries.
Precast Reinforced concretes
Precast concrete units are produced in modular shapes and sizes in our factory. Then it is transported by special transport vehicles to the site and installed in the building using mechanical hoists or poured concrete at the edge of the building site and then installed in its location in the building with a winch.
The use of precast concrete units is economical in the construction of buildings due to the speed of their implementation and the disadvantages of this system are that the construction with it is restricted to fixed and repeating modules of the same material, which makes the shape of the building with a special repetitive character.
prestressed Reinforced concretes
Prestressed concrete is a compound of high-strength concrete and iron, as the prestressing has an anti-stress effect and counteracts the stresses resulting from the loads affecting the structural element, which ultimately increases its ability to withstand live and dead loads affecting it. The prestressing process also helps in reducing the bending and cracks that can occur in the concrete part, and accordingly, this concrete can be obtained by tightening its iron with a special tensioning machine. The use of such concrete is suitable for concrete works that are intended to cover wide seams for buildings while controlling the thickness of their sector.
How to use Reinforced concretes?
There are two permanent methods of use for the work of this concrete.
Pre-stressed concrete method
In it, you work by tensioning the iron before pouring concrete using a tensioning machine, then leaving the iron after the concrete takes its strength, and the iron in this case is always in a pressure position for itself, but the concrete is in the tensile position, and rebar is called to make pre-stressed concrete by the name of the tendon or the cable. Usually, pre-tensioned concrete is used These are in the construction of simple slabs and beams.
Post-tensioned concrete method
It works by tightening the iron after the concrete is poured, and this is done by placing rebar coated with flexible metal tubes, where it is painted with grease inside the chop, and then concrete is poured over it after installing the iron in its place. After this concrete takes its strength by tightening the ends of the reinforcement with tension machines, then it is fixed at the ends of the concrete and iron sector, in this case, It is always in tension concerning itself, just as concrete is in tension as well.
